Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado could be a great choice. Here are six reasons to study at CSU.

Outdoor Fun Galore

Fort Collins is a veritable paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. If you want to enjoy a few open-air adventures while earning your college degree, this city is for you. The Rocky Mountain foothills are just a few minutes to the west, where you can go boating on Horsetooth Reservoir, hike up Horsetooth Rock, camp in Bobcat Ridge Natural Area, and go mountain biking through Lory State Park.

Old Town Fort Collins

CSU campus is just a few blocks southwest of Old Town, the heart of Fort Collins. You know this is a charming area when you learn that Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland is modeled after it. There are a ton of locally-owned restaurants, bars, clothing stores, and microbreweries. Colorado is known for its craft beer, and there are about two dozen breweries in Fort Collins alone. It’s a college student’s dream!

Did you know: the first appearance CSU made on TV was at Utah State on Oct. 20, 1956. The game was aired on local KOA-TV. CSU, which was still known as Colorado A&M at the time, lost 46-7.

CSU Football

Be prepared to dress in green and gold and cheer on the CSU Rams at every home game! The new on-campus stadium just opened in the summer of 2017, which brings the games back to campus for the first time in 50 years. The aptly named Stadium Apartments, which is off-campus housing for CSU students, is situated across the street from Canvas Stadium. It’s the ideal student living situation for Rams football fans.
